Basking Shark at the Old Head of Kinsale today

We went diving from Kinsale today out to the Old head. We had a group of 5 Bottlenose dolphins in the Harbour a little out we had common dolphins and at the Old head we had a 7M long Basking shark not to mention the dive fab 20M vis loads of conger & lobsters. can anyone tell me is it very early to see Baskers off the Irish coast I have never seen one this early in the year

    Great dive yesterday, dolphins, basking shark, lobsters, congers, blennys, gobies, etc etc – tide timed to perfection (absolutely no current on the Bream) and thousands of sand eels at the end of the dive. Great start to the season. Thanks.
