THE FUN PART
The fun part about this course is…well, it’s all fun. During the confined water section of the course you will learn the skills you need to make diving easy and fun. You will do this in a controled environment. Following on from this you will complete four dives at some of Oceanaddicts local Cork dive sites. All Open Water dives take place form our 9m RIB. Your Instructor will lead you these dives. The course takes 4 to 5 days to complete.
WHAT YOU LEARN
The PADI Open Water Diver course consists of three main parts:
- Knowledge Development to understand basic principles of scuba diving. This is done through online learning.
- Confined Water Dives to learn basic scuba skills needed to dive safely. This is either done in the pool or in the sea in the summertime.
- Open Water Dives to review your skills and explore the underwater world around Kinsale. There are 4 open water dives to complete
If you’ve participated in a Discover Scuba Diving experience, the skills you learned may be credited towards a portion of the full PADI Open Water Diver course certification.

GREAT CHILLED DIVING
Third trip to Ocean Addicts in late August. Did an afternoon and morning dive this time. Yet again great service from Graham and Anne. There is a reason they have been going for years and others have fallen by the wayside.
